AUSTIN, Texas - Feb. 3, 2003 - Sequence Design, a leading
provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software to
the semiconductor industry, announced the opening of its newest
"Center of Excellence" here today, headed by 24-year
industry veteran Jerry Phillippe, who was named central U.S.
sales director.
Phillippe will oversee a staff of account
managers and application engineers providing technical chip-design
products and support to the leading ASIC and wireless semiconductor
firms in Austin, Dallas, and the broader central region.
Before joining Sequence, Phillippe was
a sales executive with Aptix Corporation, a pioneer in pre-silicon
prototyping tools. His career in EDA also includes senior
sales and management positions with several of the industry's
best-known players such as Cadence, Avant!, Quickturn, and
Compass. As a senior sales executive, he has overseen numerous
major accounts, including Texas Instruments, Motorola, and
IBM.
