NEWTON,
Mass. - Feb. 6, 2004 - Sequence Design, Santa Clara, Calif.,
has been selected from a field of hundreds as a finalist for
this year's EDN Innovation of the Year Awards. This exclusive
awards program honors truly outstanding electronic products
ranging from integrated circuits to test equipment - as well
as the creative engineers who invent them.
The EDN Innovation Awards recognize significant products in
several categories. EDN's technical editors selected Innovation
of the Year finalists.
Sequence's CoolTime(TM) timing, power
and signal-integrity analysis tool was chosen as one of four
finalists in the EDA Physical analysis category. CoolTime
accounts for crosstalk-induced delay and glitch, and voltage-drop
induced delays during timing analysis. CoolTime renders a
complete timing and signal-integrity capability that accounts
for on-chip and off-chip physical effects. With a built-in
characterization engine for derating delays for voltage drop,
CoolTime augments existing timing library formats for accurate
timing analysis.
CoolTime was recently cited by Teradiant Networks for its
versatility as a signal-integrity signoff tool. Complete details
on how CoolTime is being employed by Teradiant are available
online: .
"We always get an outstanding set of entries to our Innovation
program," said EDN Editor-in-Chief Maury Wright. "The
chosen finalists should be proud of their selection because
many worthy products barely missed the cut. I look forward
to meeting with all of the participants at the awards banquet."
In the next few weeks, EDN's worldwide audience of electronics
engineers and engineering managers will use an online ballot
to select the ultimate winners from among these finalists.
EDN's editorial staff and the EDN Editorial Advisory Board
also take part in determining the final winners. We encourage
you to visit
and check out the Feb. 5, 2004 issue to review each of the
nominees. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on March
29, 2004 in San Francisco.
