siliconindia Names Sequence´s Vic Kulkarni "Entrepreneur of the Month"
Popular Magazine Recognizes Commitment to Nanometer Design

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - July 9, 2003 - Citing Sequence president and CEO Vic Kulkarni’s dedication to addressing the complex needs of nanoscale chip designers, siliconindia named him "Entrepreneur of the Month" for June 2003.

“This is a great honor for an old IIT Bombay graduate,” Kulkarni said. “siliconindia has featured many of the electronic industry’s leading lights in its pages, and I am proud to be in their company.”

In his article, siliconindia managing editor, Karthik Sundaram, describes the success model that 25-year high-tech vet Kulkarni has created for Sequence. Focusing on the challenges of physical design below 90 nanometers, Sequence is investing its R&D resources in managing power, and the concurrent effects it creates in today’s most advanced silicon.

“Vic’s vision of the future seems to be right in tune with the challenges facing the semiconductor industry today,” Sundaram said. “He is the type of executive who is not only in the game to compete, but to really make a difference through technology.”

Kulkarni has established a stellar reputation throughout his history in the semiconductor industry. “I have watched Vic closely over the course of his career and believe he will continue to make valuable business and technical contributions to nanometer technology,” said Vinod K. Dham, co-founder and managing member of New Path Ventures. “He has leveraged opportunities for Sequence in the global marketplace, including unique development opportunities in India.”
