SANTA
CLARA, Calif. - Aug. 31, 2006 - Sequence Design’s Jerry
Frenkil, CTO, Vice President and General Manager, Silicon
Business Unit, will join a panel of experts addressing “EDA
Challenges for Complex SoC and ASIC Designs” at the upcoming
International SoC Conference & Exhibit, Nov. 1-2 in Newport
Beach, Calif.
The panel, moderated by EE Times’ Dave Bursky, will examine
the EDA community’s plans to provide technologies needed to
deal with complex silicon at 65nm and below. Frenkil, an authority
on low-power design, will focus upon how power impacts the
overall design flow, from system design through final signoff,
including EDA’s role in addressing power and its effects upon
timing, SI, and reliability.
Frenkil was one of the founders of Sente, Inc. and has over
25 years of experience in the semiconductor and EDA industries.
While at Sente, he served as Vice President of Low Power Design
and led the services and applications activities. Prior to
co-founding Sente, Frenkil was an independent consultant focused
on IC design. He also held the positions of Design Manager
at VLSI Technology and Engineering Manager at Mostek. Frenkil
holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of
Texas, has published numerous papers on IC and Low-Power Design,
and holds several patents on circuit design and design automation.
"Providing experienced, visionary speakers such as Jerry is
what has made this conference such a stunning success,” said
conference organizer Farhad Mafie President and CEO of Savant
Company Inc. “We are delighted to have him join a stellar
lineup of speakers at this year’s event."
