SANTA
CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 04, 2004--Sequence
Design today announced that it would lend its expertise on
signal integrity to an FSA panel being presented today and
titled: "Is cross-talk killing the semiconductor industry?"
Sequence has the following perspective on this critical design
issue:
- Cross-talk cannot be analyzed in isolation.
- The impact of voltage-drop, power and timing on cross-talk
must be analyzed concurrently in order to prevent chip failure.
- The foundation for any solution that addresses the challenge
that cross-talk presents to IC design is accurate interconnect
modeling. Modeling for inductance is particularly important
at smaller geometries.

About CoolTime
Sequence offers a concurrent analysis solution through its
CoolTime suite. CoolTime is an electrical integrity analysis
for the concurrent analysis of power, voltage drop, timing,
and signal integrity that leverages the company's Columbus
tools for RLC modeling. With an emphasis on instantaneous
voltage drop, CoolTime overcomes limitations of existing static
IR-drop tools.
About Columbus-AMS
Columbus-AMS is part of Sequence's RLC ExtractionStage suite,
delivering unrivaled speed, accuracy, and capacity for designs
below 180 nanometers (nm). Columbus-AMS has been adopted by
NEC, Renesas, and Toshiba for their leading-edge designs.
ExtractionStage manages the complex process-modeling and electrical-modeling
challenges facing designers today.
About Sequence
Sequence Design Inc. enables system-on-chip designers to
bring higher-performance and lower-power integrated circuits
quickly to fabrication. Sequence's power and signal integrity
software give its more than 130 customers the competitive
advantage they need to excel in aggressive technology markets,
despite demanding complexity and time-to-market issues of
nanometer design.
Sequence has worldwide development and field service operations.
The company was recently named by Reed Electronics as one
of the top 10 companies to watch in the electronics industry.
Sequence is privately held. Sequence is a member of Cadence
