8, 2004 — "In other news related to Toshiba, Sequence
Design (private) announced that Toshiba had used its "powergating
optimization" technology to reduce "leakage" on a 90 nanometer
design. We mention this to highlight the importance of "power
design" EDA technology as one of the product categories
that are doing relatively well, according to the EDA Consortium
data. In Sequence's case, we believe it has been seeing
more favorable bookings trends this year, in Asia/Pacific
for instance, at accounts such as Matsushita, NEC, Samsung,
and Toshiba."
